Buried lithium sought in Nevada

Essential for much of energy storage as we currently know it, lithium is a prized metal indeed. And Great American Energy is hoping to find vast quantities of the stuff beneath Big Smokey Valley in Nevada, USA.

The region’s lithium deposits are among the richest in the world according to the US Geological Survey, a claim backed by data from drill holes in the area that yielded lithium values averaging 160ppm, according to a report made almost 40 years ago. So has Great American made a great discovery in Nevada?
