UK£20m earmarked for Imperial College research areas

27 September 2012

The UK government is stumping up £20m for two soon-to-be-announced energy storage competitions after a study by Imperial College, London, concluded the areas they will cover could deliver a payback of £10bn a year, according to a report on the Environmental Data Interactive Exchange.

Potential applicants can already register interest in the competitions, one of which will focus on energy storage technology demonstrations, while the other will centre on component research and feasibility studies.
