US Electricity Storage Association lobbies Washington for tax break

Representatives of the US ESA converged on Capital Hill on Thursday 17th May to meet with members of Congress and the House of representatives. After a year of what it describes as “public advocacy”, ESA members planned to use the meetings to “educate” politicians, and  – most importantly – argue for support for the Storage Technology for Renewable Energy (STORAGE) Act, a bipartisan legislative initiative that would create an investment tax credit (ITC) for energy storage technologies of all types.
