Bloom Energy supplies fuel cell storage to American Honda

American Honda Motor Co has installed a 1MW fuel cell system on its Torrance, California campus. The new installation features five 200 kW solid oxide fuel cell energy servers, all running on natural gas, reports Renewable Energy Focus.

It will provide 25% of Honda’s electricity needs for its California campus, helping to power its 1.13 million square feet (105,000 m2) of office space, research, design and development operations with the equivalent amount of electricity needed to power 750 average-sized US homes each day.
