Best and worst Euro nations for storage grid fees

Excessively large grid-related fees across much of Europe are stifling the wider deployment of energy storage. Indeed, critics argue that tariff structures in many European countries are failing to comply with the EU-level rules on electricity market regulation, which state that tariffs should be “cost-reflective” and not discriminate against energy storage.



Rebecca Boll: ‘Fluence is attracting great talent’

This week, US-headquartered energy storage products, services and digital applications company Fluence announced record revenues. In the second quarter of its current financial year, the company posted a whopping $343 million in revenue, up a massive 249 per cent on the same quarter last year. Momentum is clearly with Washington DC-based Fluence, which is now on course for annual revenue of around $1.1 billion in 2022 after its IPO in October last year.
